State Support’s On-Demand Catalog Offers CLE Credit Anytime

As of January 1, 2024, the Minnesota Supreme Court removed the cap on the number of on-demand CLE credits a Minnesota lawyer may report towards their three-year reporting period. That decision means that approved on-demand courses viewed after January 1, 2024, are not subject to the previous credit cap for reporting periods going forward.

If you are looking to acquire credits toward your total requirement of 45 CLE hours, Legal Services State Support has a growing catalog of on-demand training modules that can be viewed at your convenience. Most on-demand CLEs are free for everyone, and others have a low cost for private attorneys. Legal Aid program staff will also see associated discount codes for select on-demand offerings that are not otherwise free of charge. A list of qualifying organizations is available on the sign-up page for each module.

State Support’s on-demand training runs the gamut from poverty law practice area topics to technology to skills-based modules. The most current trainings are listed first, and all are valid for two years from the date of CLE approval. To sign up for and view State Support’s on-demand CLEs, you must be a member of the site. Membership is quick, easy, and free. Just head to State Support’s homepage and click “login” in the upper right corner of the screen. If you’re not already a member, click “create account” at the bottom of the pop-up window. Once you have a username and password, you can come back and log in at any time to see the on-demand training modules you’ve already viewed.
