Criminal convictions and charges can have a tremendous impact on immigration status. Even for those attorneys who are not practicing removal defense work, understanding developments in the law is important for advising clients. This training will cover criminal law updates and impacts on immigration status, including:

  • Domestic violence crimes and immigration status
  • CIMT updates
  • Mathis v. U.S. summary and implications
  • DUI updates and advisories
