Summer brings long days and farmer’s market visits – but what about the people who help plant, grow, and harvest that produce? Agricultural workers are often hidden from our view and face unique legal issues due to the nature of their work. This session will highlight these problems including health and safety violations, wage theft, employment discrimination and retaliation, contract violations, and labor trafficking. Jessica Grosz from SMRLS Agricultural Worker Project will highlight the services they provide to help you identify agricultural workers and their issues when you encounter them.
