The November issue of The Hennepin Lawyer is devoted to the topic of access to justice, and features three articles written by Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid (MMLA) attorneys.
Cathy Haukedahl, executive director of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, was invited to write an overview article about MMLA, the justice gap, and Minnesota's civil legal aid network. Staff attorney Jeremy Carvell authored a piece about MMLA's Hennepin County Conciliation Court Project, and staff attorney Carrie Graf's article explains the vital work of MMLA's Medical Legal Partnership with Hennepin County Medical Center's Whittier Clinic.
The issue also features an article on the impact of race on pro bono services by Martha Delaney, deputy director of the Volunteer Lawyers Network.
